REVOLUTIONIZED:
I am known for making up words at times, both intentionally and unintentionally. I love balderdash! As I have been reading through Acts over this past year, I am struck by not just how relevant this first Century Church was but how real they were as well. In fact I believe it was because they are so real that they were so relevant! In asking many of my students, "how real is the Church today", without exception they say that it isn't. Why is it that people do not see the Church as real? Is it the programs and the agendas that drive the programs? Is it the hypocrisy of people they know? Perhaps it is even their parents?
What makes the first century Church so real when we are not?
We must live in a dynamic relationship with God and help others to do the same. Let's read Acts 1:1–11
RENOWN:
God, lead us to become more real with You and others around us that we may be used by You to be relevant to the world!
RECONCILED:
To have an eternal impact we need to understand what’s important to God. As we catch his heart, we can be led by the Holy Spirit within God’s mission: to live not in search of self-fulfillment but to live in a continual, dynamic, personal relationship with God and to help others do the same. This idea must be put into practice…
REFUGE:
Today, try not to move past seeing your life in categories (work, lunch, free time, etc.) but a continual flow of God's presence upon all that we are doing! In doing this we will hopefully become more Realevant. Define Realevant below in your own words using teh comment button below...
Your brother In Christ Forever,
Tim Buhler
Real in my life and in the world around us.
